The White Steam Car went out of production in 1910 when the company moved to gas powered combustion engines. The White is considered by many to be the best Steam car ever made. Better than even the more complex Doble Model E of the 20s. The advantage was the ability to steam up in 2-4 minutes from cold via a flash burner. The Stanley would take 15 or more minutes do steam up because it was heating so much more water.

The coolest Gremlin of all time??? The Randall 401-XR (X for Gremlin X, R for Randall). Approx twenty cars were built for the street and one for the strip during 1972, 1973, and 1974. In 1972 Randall AMC dealership in Mesa, Arizona, with the endorsement of AMC corporate unleashed the most potent “factory” Gremlin ever produced — the 401-XR. This was accomplished by ordering stock 304 Gremlins and uprating them to the 401 which was dimensionally identical but with 100 more HP.
